i'm back from america!
let me see if i can cover the important details of the trip before i collapse on my bed.
day one.
flew 7hrs to japan and 10hrs to america.
the weather wasn't that bad, it was just kinda like air con temperature.
america is behind singapore by 16 hours,
so if we wanted to find out singapore time,
just take america time, add four hours, change the am to pm or vice versa.
we had the whole day free basically.
went to food for less and inside you felt so small because everything there is huge!
the tub of ice cream can feed my family for at least two months!
day two.
after travelling 17hrs in the plane,
was surprised to see helena in the same hotel as me.
talk about concidence.
visited mann's chinese theatre,
not as excited as i expected it to be.
anyhow, went to universal studios.
went on the tour, sat on all the rides there.
saw jurassic park the ride again.
holy shit i can still remember how the last time i sat,
it scared the shits out of me.
there was a new ride called the mummy's revenge or something like that.
wasn't very scary,
just super dark and bumpy.
the fun part was that the halfway, it went backwards!
there was a slight drop, so while going back up, you could feel your stomach being left behind.
day three.
disney land!
yay! i love disneyland disneyland disneyland disneyland!
sat almost all of the the thrilling rides except tower of terror,
something about vertical drops just freak me out.
spent the entire day there,
from 8am-10pm
and still not enough.
jac and i were so tired that we snoozed whenever we found a chair.
the fireworks display at the end of the night was spectacular!
then after it all ended, artifical snow was sprayed.
oh my.. i want to go disney land again!
day four.five.six.....ten!
shopped like mad at all the factory outlets.
saw grand canyon,
jac yip would be so proud,
i remember all the formations and even corrected my silly uncle who said that grand canyon was formed by an earthquake.
yeah right. its river erosion!
it was snowing at the grand canyon and it was beautiful.
for awhile i had a romantic notion of a lovers' stroll until the reality of the cold set in.
went down to san francisco and saw the golden gate bridge,
and also the famous prison, alcatraz.
Saw Las Vegas!
VIVE LAS VEGAS!
its kind of a dead town in the day,
but at night, its amazing.
the lights, the sound, the atmosphere!
hm, i cannot remember anything else.
will update again when i can.
